The Bend Recipe

Get to Know Us

For those of you interested in producing a food experience to titillate the senses. This recipe will satisfy the family and the fine diner. A mixture of locally grown, blended with interstate and international varietals bring together an eclectic combination full of flavour, pleasing to the eye and friendly to the heart.

Ingredients

1 talented chef

1 hospitality nut

1 styling guru (the best are local and hiding in an accountant overcoat)

3 Unabashed foodies and food producers (Southern Riverina-based is best). Weatherbeaten and aged

6 Yangs to the above Yins and very important to the balance of the experience

As a side note, we are still to work out which is the star – The Yin or the Yang

Certainly, the whole is more value than the two parts

1 Extraordinary Venue in the heart of the Australian food bowl

Add generous lashings of generous hospitality and farm fresh produce.

Method: For the best results slow cook for around 15 months. Flash searing or stir frying will not allow the different ingredients to combine into a successful combination.

Combine the passionate chef with the hospitality nut to create a vision which encapsulates great food combinations with unexpected customer service. Be patient (like your sourdough starter) while you hunt for your perfect location.

Once found, it’s time to hunt for the food tragics with the following requirements

Love eating and sharing with friends

Love for their own region

Passionate about investing back in their community

Have an understanding of good and bad investments then participating anyway

Always important to identify a food tragic that has a desire and passion for design. As an added bonus make sure her partner and children have practical skills and understand and appreciate the slave labor mantra. Along with happy wife happy life. If partner can be coerced with beer rations all the better.

Use traditional black pen to sign any lease in November and create the partnership of like minds.

Let your creative guru loose at Christmas 2023 and revisit in June 2024.

To the finished product add staff and training, then simply open the doors on the 26th of June and let your patrons experience the finished product.
